quotes The funniest thing is that when I clicked to watch the video it started off with an ad for McDonald's. Childhood obesity is a far bigger and more costly epidemic than bone fractures from mtn biking. Plus (most) fractures heal, whereas childhood obesity has a very high association with early onset diabetes and adverse health affects in adulthood. And diabetes is for life. The medications alone are more than 23K per person over a few years. So, put away your mtn bikes, take up your "sugar" (err, energy drinks) and video game controllers and start getting down to getting obese and unhealthy.

quotes Woohoo. Go Mick and Tracy. Wish Mick could have taken the win too, but psyched that he seems back in to form and not too tentative.

quotes Surprised Steve Smith didn't pull out a higher time with his level of fitness and power. I think he must have been a bit tentative on the top section. 5th is still on the podium though and definitely something to build on after breaking his tib/fib to end last season. We're proud of ya' buddy. Good luck for next race too eh!

quotes Can anyone tell me what Graves' plans are for the Olympics this summer? Obviously with no 4X that kinda hampers his training, but is he still looking to go to the games? I hope so. Good luck Gravesy!

quotes "I sat up after the last jump before the finish. If I'd thrown in a single pedal stoke, I'd have had it (top qualifying position), but I just opted to coast it a bit. - Aaron Gwin" Is it just me or do all of Gwin's comments make him sound like a poor winner AND a poor loser? Last year when he won, he was always like "I could have done better". There's a difference in what you say to your trainers and coaches in order to improve on your own performance and what you say to the media, because the latter portrays what you think of your opponents. You never see a basketball or hockey player who wins a championship game saying anything except "They were a great team and we worked hard and we're just thankful to have come out on top." Maybe that's a bit boring, but better than that pissing the other team off so they wanna cross-check you into the boards or throw an elbow on your when you go for a lay-up. Otherwise, anyone else surprised to see Gee not right up there on a fitness/pedal track? The guy is super into his body so you'd think he'd be all about the pedally section. Good luck to all for the finals. Hope Steve Smith takes it!

quotes Is there XC/AM riding around Kamloops? Is it super dusty everywhere around there? I've seen lots of video of the area and it looks amazing, but the freeride stuff looks waaaaaaaaaaaaay over my skill level. As for the dust, I am just a wimp and like more loamy-ness (like sea-to-sky). I have the chance to go to the island or the loops in mid-may-->mid-June and cant decide. Lately I've been getting my lycra on... sad I know, but yeah, wondering if there are more pedally and loamy bits around too or if it is all big dusty lines. cheers!

quotes Like how they photoshopped out the beer can that Hart was whipping. Makes it look a little more professional. Sorry for Kona. Good luck giant.

quotes Didn't realize how "mini" Marc is. He is shorter than Rachel. Not quite as cute either... ha ha. Hope he steps it up again this year with the addition of some strong teammates. Go team GT!!!

quotes P.S. It is for the same reason that I think Steve Smith will be top 3 this year. Dedication to total body training (and continued skill and confidence development)
